La Cava | April 2020

During the international 2020 lockdown, Simone Begani shows a selection of works by La Cava, the ceramic manufacturing company founded in 1956, near Florence, by the poet Alberto Caverni (1921-1980) and the painters Bruno Brunetti (1920-1966) and Mario Nuti (1923-1996) after their experiences at MAF (Manifattura Artistica Fiorentina). For about a decade, alongside the production of objects made in small format, La Cava created some unique pieces inspired by abstract and informal art, experimenting with forms, surfaces and colors with a strong expressive impact.
