Lost Works I | June 2024
As part of a research aimed at rediscovering works of art that have disappeared for decades, the gallery presents a selection of paintings and glass dating back to the late 1920s and early 1930s. Among these, ‘Il giramondo’ by Primo Conti exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1934, a self-portrait painted by Leonardo Savioli in 1932 when he was just fifteen years old, portraits by Fausto Vagnetti, and paintings and drawings by Felice Carena. Alongside these, some rare glass by Carlo Scarpa made for Cappellin and Venini, important vases by Ercole Barovier and ceramics by Gio Ponti are on display.
