Modern Ceramics | December 2021

In December 2021, the gallery shows a selection of mid-twentieth century ceramics belonging to the vast collection of Simone Begani. Among the works on display: sculptural vases by Federico Quatrini; bas-reliefs by Leoncillo Leonardi, Angelo Biancini, Ugo Lucerni, Alfonso Leoni; plates, bowls and vases by Guido Gambone, Marcello Fantoni, Carlo Zauli. The works are set up on furnishings from a Florentine villa including two consoles from the second half of the eighteenth century and a backlit bookcase designed in the seventies, as a unique piece, by the architect Roberto Monsani, and then produced in a few pieces by Acerbis with the name “Night and Day”.
